I think that in your “ZPT Weekly Top 25”, Marquette is a bit highly ranked. They are in a tough Big East and they simply won’t survive a brutal schedule. You should drop them to your 20th spot, or near that area. Georgetown will be better than them so will Wisconsin, by the way that will be a huge win for Wisconsin in Milwaukee. I think that in what is basically a pre-season poll that the 14th spot is apprpriate, but later on they should drop out of the top 25, easy.

Georgetown over Marquette? Even with all of Marquette’s negatives- inexperienced coach, frontcourt, depth- they’ve still got much more talent than a reloading Georgetown team. They lost both Hibbert and Wallace, and while Monroe and Freeman will make big contributions right away, the athleticism and strength of the Marquette backcourt should be enough to keep them ahead of the Hoyas. It’s close, though. I have Marq 5th and Gtown 6th in a loaded Big East.
